No Limu Under Foot

Sam Kapu

Scripture
"Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, knowledge, and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness, and in your godliness, brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ." (2 Peter 1:5-8)
Observation
We need to be diligent in our faith, doing our devotions, practicing fellowship, and keeping in step with Jesus. With this we should practice right living in purity, and with right living, knowledge, with more knowledge we develop self control; and as we control our selves, we gain perseverance, with that we develop godliness, when we put on this, we can truly show brotherly kindness and the bottom line to all of this is we start to LOVE like God loves which is the POINT of our walk. with this we become useful to God, and our life will not be wasted.
Application
If I truly want to be used by God, I cannot stay stagnant and watch the limu grow under my feet and the only way to do this is:

1- Be Diligent in my faith

2- Live a pure and moral life

3- Grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ

4- Use self - control

5- Persevere through trials

6- Be Godly in all things

7- Be kind to others

8- LOVE LIKE GOD
Prayer
Dear Lord, I pray that I be used by You, keep me as soft clay in your hands, ever changing and always evolving and growing into your likeness every day. help me to practice Love like You, through this scripture today.
