Tuned Into God
"The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge ... Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world." (Psalm 19:1-4 NIV)

  1. CONNECT to a body of believers willing to pray.
"When [Herod] had seized him, he put him in prison, delivering him to four squads of soldiers to guard him ... but prayer for [Peter] was being made fervently by the church to God." (Acts 12:4-5)

"Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst." (Matt. 18:19-20)

  2. Be willing to TRUST God's timing and his ways.
"On the very night when Herod was about to bring him forward, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and guards in front of the door were watching over the prison. And behold, an angel of the
Lord suddenly appeared and a light shone in the cell; and he struck Peter's side and woke him up, saying, 'Get up quickly.' And his chains fell off his hands." (Acts 12:6-7)

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (Phil. 4:6-7)

  3. Pray with an expectant desire to receive GOD'S BEST.
"They said to her, 'You are out of your mind!' But she kept insisting that it was so. They kept saying, 'It is his angel.' But Peter continued knocking; and when they had opened the door, they saw him and were amazed."
    (Acts 12:15-16)

"We are certain that God will hear our prayers when we ask for what pleases Him. And if we know that God listens when we pray, we are sure that our prayers have already been answered." (1 John 5:14-15 CEV)
