"You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? ... You are the light of the world ... Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven." (Matt. 5:13-16)

People who make a difference:
  1. DEMONSTRATE their faith more than they DECLARE it.
"Being unable to get to Him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above Him; and when they had dug an opening, they let down the pallet on which the paralytic was lying. And Jesus seeing their faith said to the paralytic, 'Son, your sins are forgiven.'" (Mark 2:4-5)

"What use is it, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but he has no works ... If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food, and one of you says to them, 'Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,' and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that? ... [Show] me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works." (James 2:14-18)

    • Life is a PICTURE BOOK.

  2. Live AUTHENTIC lives.
"Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men's bones and all uncleanness." (Matt. 23:27)

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control." (Gal. 5:22-23)

  3. See risks as INVESTMENTS with eternal rewards.
"... He said to the paralytic, 'I say to you, get up, pick up your pallet and go home.' And he got up and immediately picked up the pallet and went out in the sight of everyone, so that they were all amazed and were glorifying God, saying, 'We have never seen anything like this.'" (Mark 2:10-12)

"So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." (2 Cor. 4:18 NIV)
