"These men who have turned the world upside down have come here ... " (Acts 17:6)
Definition of Vision
To SEE what is not yet there, by faith.
"Next Paul and Silas traveled through the area of Phrygia and Galatia, because the Holy Spirit had told them not to go into the province of Asia at that time. Then coming to the borders of Mysia, they headed for the province of Bithynia, but again the Spirit of Jesus did not let them go.
So instead, they went on through Mysia to the city of Troas. That night Paul had a vision. He saw a man from Macedonia in northern Greece, pleading with him, "Come over here and help us."
So we decided to leave for Macedonia at once, for we could only conclude that God was calling us to preach the Good News there ...
On the Sabbath we went a little way outside the city ... and we sat down to speak with some women who had come together. One of them was Lydia from Thyatira, a merchant of expensive purple cloth. She was a worshiper of God.
THREE SECRETS TO CHANGING THE WORLD
- Change begins when I LISTEN.
"...the Holy Spirit had told them not to go ... but again the Spirit of Jesus did not let them go..." (Acts 16:6-7)
Change endures when I move AHEAD.
"So we? decided to leave for Macedonia at once, for we could only conclude that God was calling us to preach the Good News there." (Acts 16:10)
Change lasts when I invest in OTHERS.
"She was a worshiper of God. As she listened to us, the Lord opened her heart, and she accepted what Paul was saying." (Acts 16:14)
"I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." (Philippians 1:3-6)
