Water Baptism is a public declaration of our identification with Jesus ; His death, burial and resurrection. By getting water baptized you are publicly saying that you have died to yourself and have decided to follow Jesus Christ. Are you all in for Jesus? Well come and take the dive , you'll surface a whole NEW person.
Taking the plunge! People from all ages and all walks of life arrived at the beach anxiously awaiting their turn to be immersed into the warm waters of the Pacific Ocean. With a spectacular view of Diamond Head in the background, the newly baptized saints, walked out of the water, and into the crowd of witnesses who celebrated the newness of life in the love and joy that Jesus gives.!"We love sharing in this special day" beamed one of the volunteers. "I remember how special it was the day I got baptized, and I am thrilled to be a part of someone else's special day." I applaud the hearts of all the volunteers who come out to be a part of this wonderful day. You can tell that they as well as others who come to support the newly baptized, get a jolt of energy in their spirit, too!
Food, Food, and More Food!
No celebration is complete without food, and this one was no exception. The tables were lined with many potluck dishes to satisfy the hungry. It was a great time to fellowship and congratulate all those who just got baptized. We'll also enjoy the fireworks show together!
What to bring:
Just bring a towel, dry clothes, a yummy potluck dish to share and your heart to celebrate your life in Jesus Christ!
Next Water Baptism
Our next water baptism will be held on Sunday, January 29, at 3:00pm, Magic Island (at the end of the Ewa end of the parking lot) , Ala Moana Beach Park. No preregistration required, just show up.
