The Gift of a Journal

Teaching SOAP at Willow Creek

In the last 10 days, Pastor Wayne went from Delhi India to Chicago, to Nashville, and then to Southeastern University where he ministered along with Colin Powell, Andy Stanley, Erwin McManus, and Jeb Bush.

While he was in Chicago, he shared the Word of God to 18,000 church members at Willow Creek Community Church. Sporting a New Hope "Hungry" t-shirt, and sharing his message "The Divine Mentor" Pastor Wayne highlighted the need to feed ourselves the Word of God daily.

"Behold, days are coming," declares the Lord God, "When I will send a famine on the land, not a famine for bread or a thirst for water, but rather for hearing the words of the Lord." (Amos 8:11)

Through the generous hearts of the New Hope congregation, we were able to donate 10,000 Life Journals to the saints at Willow Creek to get them started in journaling following our SOAP method.

"I love New Hope" says Pastor Wayne Cordeiro, "But it is wonderful to have the opportunity to share God’s love with saints in other areas of God’s world such as at Willow Creek. New Hope will always be a church that has, as part of her assignment, to help the Body of Christ renew her love for the inspired Word of God. To New Hope: Thank you for being such a huge part of the call"

Willow Creek has been rated as one of the most influential churches in America.

Wayne and Bill Hybels, Senior Pastor of Willow Creek, have been friends for over fifteen years. It is a great joy for New Hope to partner together with this great church!

Since Pastor Wayne's message at Willow Creek, we have received many thank you emails from the members. Here are a few of the many that we've received:

I want to thank you very much for your message at Willow Creek on Saturday March 1st. I was really inspired by your message. Also, thank you for the journal. I have already started it after church on Saturday. Thank you again. May God continue to bless you with His love.

We at Willow are not used to being on the receiving end and it was very meaningful to us to receive your gift. We have already started using it, and it is a blessing.

Thank you for coming to Willow Creek this past weekend! I have been a Christian for many years, work for a Christian organization and lead in a divorce recovery ministry. My biggest defeat in my life has been the inconsistency in reading my Bible. Your message really hit home and I am hopeful that this will be the beginning of a new adventure with Christ. I have never heard this subject preached with such clarity and urgency as this past weekend. Thank you again!

Thank you for the blessing of your sermon at Willow Creek this past weekend.

I and my wife were deeply blessed by your SOAP method of Bible Study. We ordered Children's journals for our kiddos from your site, and are very excited to use this idea in our home. May God bless you and your ministry richly!

I am a staff member of Willow Creek. I just wanted to send a thank you to Wayne and to the church for the Life journal gifts to our church.

A heartfelt thanks to Dr. Wayne Cordeiro and to the people of New Hope Church.?It was so very kind of you to supply Willow with the Life Journals.

I look forward to embracing this new way of journaling. Thank you all so very much for your generosity. God bless New Hope Church.

Thank you to you and your church for the Life Journal I received at Willow Creek today.

I just wanted to let you know that we went to see Pastor Wayne this morning at Willow Creek (drove 2 hours but it was so worth it). As always, he captured the heart of each and every person who was in that auditorium. We enjoyed seeing him again and we thank you for sharing him to us. We envy you because you belong to a great church...we may not live in Hawaii anymore but we will always belong to New Hope Ohana.
