Water Baptism This Sunday Proclaim Your New Life in Christ
Join us Sunday, January 20 at Ala Moana Beach Park, and take the next step in your Christian walk.
What Does it Mean?
When we are baptized in water, we are in effect saying goodbye to our old life (self), and saying hello to a new creation who is IN Christ. Water baptism outwardly demonstrates what has happened inwardly. It helps you to grasp the reality of the spiritual truth that the old "you" has died.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" Matthew 28:19 (NKJ)
Who can be baptized?
Scripture indicates that the requirement for baptism is that a person has accepted Jesus Christ into their life and has an ongoing spiritual relationship with him. “Baptism is a public proclamation of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ,” explains Senior Pastor Wayne Cordeiro.
What Do I Need?
You should bring a towel and an extra set of clothes. Please wear a t-shirt and shorts... and expect to get wet!
Bring Your Favorite Dish
We will also be having an All-Ohana Potluck, so everyone is invited whether you’re getting baptized or not. Bring your favorite dish and fellowship with the Ohana. Come meet the pastors & other great people who attend New Hope while you enjoy a day of fun in the sun celebrating Jesus!
