"Blog" Into New Hope Four Fresh New Hope Blogs

As technology progresses, new words sprout up each day. Words like “Google,” “IM,” and “blog” are just a few that have become a part of everyday conversations. Google is pretty well known, and IM stands for “instant messenger,” but what is a blog?

Define: Blog
A blog, derived from "Web log," is a user-generated website where entries are made in journal style and displayed in a reverse chronological order.
Blogs often provide commentary or news on a particular subject, such as food, politics, or local news; some function as more personal online diaries. Most blogs combine text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic, and also many times allow readers opportunities to leave comments on the blog.

New Hope Blogs
We are excited to launch four new blogs that will provide great information, as well as an opportunity for YOU to interact with the bloggers.

Two popular contributors to the “blogosphere” are Pastor Rod Shimabukuro and Mike Sharpe.

Pastor Rod
is the Equipping Director of New Hope and his blog “Equipping Thoughts” has a focus on doing just that: equipping. The first entry explains how important healthy relationships are and gives eight practical points of how to show people that they are truly valued.

Mike Sharpe is New Hope's Innovation & Technology Director and in his blog, "EternalClick.com," he details “ideas, tech tips, lessons learned, and other items related to taking what the church does and uploading it to the web… It is also my desire to help others steward the web correctly for both themselves and their families. Posts will often show up that gives ideas and suggestions to create accountability while online.”
