Rachelle Nam, Hawaii State Coordinator for Moms in Touch-Hawaii, states in their Fall 2007 newsletter, “Be bold in sharing that God is at work here in Hawaii, in our communities, schools, and yes, in our homes, because we meet for one powerful hour to pray.”  What a secure knowledge our children can rest in to know that they and their schools are being prayed over collectively by their moms.  One of the moms here testified, “Praise God, I see His work in the lives of the students, teachers and our own children. Teachers cannot wait for us to go to battle for them and their students in prayer.”

Moms In Touch International (MITI) also witnesses in their Fall 2007 issue to the power of faithful praying moms over the long haul:

Fourteen years of prayer
My 24-year-old daughter recently came back to the Lord.  God used the prayers of my MITI group to keep me holding on to that hope.  I have been praying in MITI groups since she was in fifth grade.

Over ten years of waiting
I was a praying mom in MITI and have seen countless answers to prayer, including those lifted up over ten years ago.  Some are just now being answered. My 28-year-old son has rediscovered his faith in the last year, and it is a result of God responding to those praying moms who stood with me years ago. I recently visited them, and it was a time of tearful joy and goose bumps as we recognized God’s faithfulness.

Eleven years of prayer
When I separated from my husband, I was certain my 11-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son would grow up to become angry, addicted, Godhating dropouts.  I was particularly concerned about my son; he keeps things to himself, and I had no idea how to raise a boy alone.  That was eleven years ago, and, by the grace of God, I got involved with Moms In Touch, even though I had to manipulate my schedule to make weekly meetings.  It is now 2007, and my daughter is well-adjusted, strong in her faith, working and attending college full-time.  My son is a high school senior, active in youth group and committed to God in his own quiet way.  I cannot begin to tell you how often my anxious heart was settled and my thoughts calmed as I turned my eyes back on God through prayer. I was strengthened mightily by God’s Word and the love of my sisters in Christ.  It has been a rough ride, but full of God’ s riches.

Come join Moms in Touch At New Hope to begin your hour of life-changing prayer.  If you are unable to make the meetings on Tuesdays at New Hope, there are other groups island-wide. You can also receive help starting your own group if you are unable to locate one that is convenient for you.  For more information, e-mail Jane Noe at jannoe@hawaiiantel.net or visit the Moms In Touch website at  www.momsintouch.org.
