The Message Of Jesus

Richard Waialeale

Scripture
Luke 23:31 (NIV)
31 For if men do these things when the tree is green, what will happen when it is dry?"
Observation
I believe what Jesus is saying here is if His message is being rejected here while he is physically alive (green), how much more will it be rejected in the coming years (dry). Seeing is believing, but blessed are those that do not see and still believe. I’m sure it makes a difference hearing the message from Jesus versus from one of his disciples.
Jesus had a way of presenting the Good News to the people so that many will be saved, and for those that receive Him as Lord and Savior, we as disciples, would continue on with His message of hope, knowing that Jesus lives in us to keep his message green.

Application
Jesus lives in me and his message and the Word of God is in me. I must keep his message as fresh and green as it was back then, to those that will receive it today. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide me and fill me and those that hear the Good News. Do everything I can to keep his message green for today and forever more.
Prayer
Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” My prayer is for everyone that has the opportunity to hear the Word of God.
