Imprinted For the World to See...

Rod Shimabukuro

Scripture
"He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high." (Hebrews 1:3)
Observation
In the opening of his letter, the author of Hebrews makes a pinnacle statement of the person of Jesus; who and where He is, what He's done. We can hang our faith and life on this passage whose claims are central to our eternity present into future.

For me, the person, position and power of Jesus has secured my life and this is partly what the writer is reminding the Christians of. Jesus is greater, better than anything and any one! Who Jesus is in me, embodies the essence, person, nature, character of the Godhead.
Application
I am constantly reminded of Jesus' grace - works in my life. I embody the person of Jesus in and through my life - so I must continue to yield to His Lordship. I'm battle with being "boss" of my life, at times thinking that my ways, decisions and plans are better than God's. Impatience is my enemy but today I am reminded again - He holds "my whole world" and everyone and everything else...in His hands! His imprint has been forged in my life!
Prayer
I can't thank You enough Jesus...You are my King, Boss, Lord, Master - You are Everything at all times to me. May I demonstrate a surrender and commitment to You that reflects You being my Everything! Thanks for purifying my heart, forgiving me of ALL my sins, being the God of Your universe! May the world around me see Your imprint in and through my life!
