When the Financial Roof Caves In


"He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much; and he who is unrighteous in a very little thing is unrighteous also in much. Therefore, if you have not been faithful in the use of unrighteous wealth, who will entrust the true riches to you?" (Luke 16:10-11)

  1. Debt is a symptom; MATERIALISM is the root problem.
    "Whoever loves money never has money enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with his income. This too is meaningless." (Eccl. 5:10 NIV)

    "But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows." (1 Tim. 6:9-10 NLT)

  2. CONTENTMENT is key to free you from the stress of debt.
    "Do not wear yourself out to get rich; have the wisdom to show restraint. Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle." (Prov. 23:4-5 NIV)

    "But godliness actually is a means of great gain when accompanied by contentment. For we have brought nothing into the world, so we cannot take anything out of it either. If we have food and covering, with these we shall be content." (1 Tim. 6:6-8)

    • Financial freedom isn't about how much you EARN; it's about how much you SPEND.

  3. Commit yourself to a plan that pay GOD first.
    "'Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,' says the LORD of hosts, 'if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.'" (Mal. 3:10)
